I'd like to end my review by commenting on something subtle about the game: Cloud Garden doesn't have a story, per se, but its setting and objects allow you to create a narrative. (But I'm waiting until I've unlocked everything.) The music is beautiful, and each seed adds its unique motif to the music. As you progress through the levels, you unlock objects for Creative Mode, which is where the bulk of the gameplay is. And I use "post-apocalyptic" in the most relaxing, peaceful way: Humanity is apparently gone, but they've left behind objects for your garden (including garden gnomes!), and there are plenty of birds to keep you company in the clouds. The title describes the gameplay: You grow plants above the clouds (even if the garden is on the "ground") by planting a seed and then placing objects-empty bottles, old TVs, pipes, etc.-around the seed to grow a garden in a post-apocalyptic setting. ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugsĬloud Garden is one of the most relaxing experiences I've had-not just in gaming, but across media. ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
